Requirements for Visa
Most countries‘ citizens must possess a valid visa to enter Bangladesh. The type, category, and duration of the visa are determined and confirmed by the Embassy. The specific type and category of visa vary based on the purpose of the visit, the length of stay, and any bilateral agreements with the foreign national’s country. Any changes in the rules and regulations enacted by the Government of Bangladesh will also apply to visa issuance.
General requirements for all visa categories include:
- A duly filled-in application form.
- One copy of recent passport-sized photographs (Size: 37mmX37mm).
- An original valid passport (with at least 6 months of validity).
- Proof of payment for the required visa fee (please refer to the visa fee requirements for your specific country and category, and ensure payment is made to the Embassy’s bank account).
- The necessary documents corresponding to your visa category/type (please review the required documents for your specific visa category).
- A self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage for the return of your passport by registered post, if you wish to receive your passport via mail.

General Requirements for Obtaining the ‚No Visa Required‘ Stamp:
- Completed application form.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs (Size: 37mmX37mm).
- Bangladesh passport/National ID/Birth certificate (17 digits)/Foreign old passport with an NVR seal.
- If there has been a name change while residing in a foreign country, provide a legal document supporting the change or a copy of a court order.
- A valid passport (valid at least for 6 months).
- Payment receipt for the visa fee.
- Required documents to get visa of your category/type.
- For children of Bangladesh nationals:
- Child’s Person Bevis (Family Birth Certificate).
- Passport of the child(ren)’s father or mother with an NVR seal.
- For spouses of foreign origin:
- Notarized copy of the marriage certificate.
- Declaration from the Bangladesh origin national regarding the validity of marital status.
- Original copy of the passport along with a photocopy of the Bangladesh origin national’s passport.

Important Notes:
Individuals residing in Germany who are not German nationals must include a copy of their house registration [Meldebescheinigung] with their visa application.
The entire visa fee must be paid at the time of application and will not be refunded, even in the event of a visa application rejection.

Allgemeine Anforderungen für die Erlangung des Stempels „Kein Visum erforderlich“:
- Ausgefülltes Antragsformular.
- Zwei aktuelle Passfotos (Größe: 37mmX37mm).
- Bangladeschischer Reisepass/Nationalausweis/Geburtsurkunde (17-stellig)/Alter ausländischer Reisepass mit einem NVR-Stempel.
- Falls während des Aufenthalts in einem ausländischen Land eine Namensänderung vorgenommen wurde, ist ein rechtliches Dokument zur Unterstützung der Änderung oder eine Kopie eines Gerichtsbeschlusses erforderlich.
- Ein gültiger Reisepass.
- Zahlungsquittung für die Visagebühr.
- Benötigte Dokumente, um das Visum Ihrer Kategorie/Art zu erhalten.
- Für Kinder von bangladeschischen Staatsangehörigen:
- Familiengeburtsurkunde (Personenbevis des Kindes).
- Reisepass des Vaters oder der Mutter des Kindes mit einem NVR-Stempel.
- Für ausländische Ehepartner:
- Notariell beglaubigte Kopie der Heiratsurkunde.
- Erklärung des bangladeschischen Staatsangehörigen zur Gültigkeit des Ehestatus.
- Originalkopie des Reisepasses zusammen mit einer Fotokopie des Reisepasses des bangladeschischen Staatsangehörigen.

Wichtige Hinweise:
Personen, die in Deutschland leben und nicht die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit besitzen, müssen ihrer Visabewerbung eine Kopie ihrer Meldebescheinigung beifügen.
Die vollständige Visagebühr muss zum Zeitpunkt der Antragstellung entrichtet werden und wird selbst im Falle einer Ablehnung des Visumantrags nicht zurückerstattet.
